welcome.
My name is Vivienne Dobbs and I graduated in May 2009 from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Arts in History, a concentration in Journalism, and an Italian minor. I continue to take courses at the University focused on web development and design. Along with taking classes at U of D, I work for the American Public Gardens Association in media and communications technology.
My undergraduate work cultivated my skills as a journalist and a writer. After my post-college work in the field of media, public relations, and marketing, I found my passion to be the interrelation of technology, journalism, design, and how these elements translate to the web. Because my creative experience varies in medium, my e-Portfolio represents an interdisciplinary collection of works.
The showcase is a dynamic highlight of my recent works from my experience editing to designing advertisements for restaurants to five-foot wire sculptures. My ultimate goal is to relate and, in turn, apply my work to the regeneration of journalism. Instead of accepting its "death," I want to help develop and experience the digital Renaissance of journalism.
